What's STRONG OVER 40?
Strong over 40 comes from the need to help women transition from perimenopause to post-menopause and beyond in a safe, supportive and empathetic space, as I find there's little to no information out there at the moment and lots of confusion.
Due to the loss in muscle mass and bone density, resistance training should be the number one priority for fitness at this stage of life.
In addition to resistance training, incorporating high-intensity interval training (HIIT) and other forms of cardiovascular exercise can help improve overall health and metabolic function.
Overall, the key to combating muscle and bone loss and metabolic decline in women as they age is to prioritize regular physical activity and a healthy lifestyle.
Women can improve their strength, functionality, and overall well-being by building and preserving lean muscle mass.
